Stoped at 2 other spots of course one was snorkelled with the the turtles. My husband and I went on the Molokini trip on February 26th with guides Kelly and Andy. Chase showed us some great beaches shared local info about them. lunch was laid out for us while we were at our 3rd stop and no one left the boat hungry. If you get a chance it is worth taking the time to drive out and hike the field. Katie gave us the history of the lava and the area as we floated around the bay. We also took a tour to Lava Fields at La Perouse Bay near Makena. Never felt rushed to come on board given ample time at all stops to snorkel. We Snorkelled the back wall first then came around to the crater. He also provided a great set list of songs while we were on board. On the way to Molokini Katie pulled out fresh fruit and her famous cinnamon rolls and Chase gave us all instructions for having a safe experience while snorkelling. Chase and Katie where the best crew, they had coffee ready when we arrived to the boat launch and provided reef safe sunscreen. I ready many reviews for this snorkel trip and it was time well spent to find this one.Cost more then we were looking to spend but in the end it was worth every penny. Redline Rafting provided a great experience for our family. They offer snorkel gear and fins, but you can bring your own. There is a dry place to store any belongings you bring (but be careful, we had rust spots on my husband's white tshirt - just put your stuff in a backpack or something). They provide reef safe sunblock before and during the tour. It was a full morning of snorkeling! We had a fruit and cinnamon roll breakfast and then a sandwich and pasta salad lunch. Then we did an alternate to the probably over-populated "Turtle Town." It was in the same area, but not as many tour boats and we still saw turtles. Loved it all! We skipped one stop because the water wasn't going to be clear, but they went to an alternative stop for a drift snorkel and it was good. And the shelf that raises you up and down is cool. The deep deep blue leaves your imagination to run wild! It is so beautiful. The depth of the ocean where you are is just incredible. Then, because this is a raft and not a big huge boat, we got to go to the back side of the crater. They did everything right! We got to Molokini Crater 2nd, so we had a lot of time before all the bigger tours started showing up. Very knowledgable, very kind, and I felt very safe. Enjoy having extra space and not bumping into half naked people that you don't know! :D Our guides were Chase and Katie and they were wonderful. There are a TON of tours to choose from for the Molokini Crater - CHOOSE THIS ONE! The group you go with is a lot smaller than other groups, which you might not think is a big deal but when everyone is in the water trying to look at the same cool stuff - it's a big deal.
